The Annual Topeka Blues Society (TBS) Membership Meeting, Election of the Board, and Blues Challenge is Sunday, Aug. 20th at Uncle Bo’s, located on the lower level of the Ramada Inn Downtown in Topeka.  Doors open at noon, music (the Blues Challenge) begins at 1:00 p.m.  The TBS Membership meeting and Election of the Board will begin following the first two Blues Challenge acts, approx. 2:00 p.m.  Cover charge is $5.00 for TBS members ($7.00 for non-members).

During the Blues Challenge, there will be a Silent Auction, merchandise and new & slightly used blues CD’s for sale, AND $20 raffle tickets will continue to be sold for “Sammy Jean”, a unique guitar creation by Joel Edison.  (Sammy Jean raffle drawing will be held during the IBC Kick-Off party, Friday, Jan. 12th, 2018 at Uncle Bo’s.)

Regarding Election of the Board: If you are interested in helping keep the blues alive, you can help by serving on the TBS Board.  Please email membership@topekabluessociety.org if you’d like to be on the ballot.  Elections will be during the Membership Meeting on August 20th.
